RESUME

In 2015, K. B. Shtokailo graduated from Ternopil State Medical University, majoring in “General Medicine”.

From 2015 to 2017, K. B. Shtokailo studied at an internship in the specialty “Dermatovenereology” at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Skin and Venereal Diseases of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and Husiatyn Communal Hospital.

  In 2017, she worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Skin and Venereal Diseases of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

From 2017 to 2019, K. B. Shtokailo was a full-time post-graduate student at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Skin and Venereal Diseases of TNMU. Since 2020, she started studying in the evening form of postgraduate studies in specialty 222 “Medicine”.

From 01.09.2020 to the present, K. B. Shtokailo has been an Assistant Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Skin and Venereal Diseases of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

Since 2015, K. B. Shtokailo worked in a team of researchers studying the problem of Lyme borreliosis and other tick-borne infections. She participated in surveys and blood sampling for laboratory examination for the presence of Lyme-borreliosis pathogens of foresters in Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv regions.

During 2017-2021, K. B. Shtokailo was a participant in two research works of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Skin and Venereal Diseases of Ternopil National Medical University: “Study of the epidemiology, pathogenesis and clinic of Lyme borreliosis in the endemic regions of Ukraine, including in the Ternopil region, and improvement of its diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation measures and prevention” (state registration number 0118U000357) and “Mono- and mixed infections transmitted by ticks, improvement of medical and diagnostic technologies and biosecurity measures” (state registration number 0120U104348).

On March 21, 2023, by the decision of the specialized academic board DF 58.601.073 of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, K. B. Shtokailo was awarded the PhD degree (H23 No. 000439) on the basis of the public defence of the thesis “Clinical-epidemiological and immunological features of Lyme borreliosis in combination with localized scleroderma, optimization of diagnostics and therapy” in the specialty 222 “Medicine” (scientific supervisor –DSc, Professor M. I. Shkilna). K. B. Shtokailo is the author and co-author of 32 scientific papers, including 5 articles (1 in sole authorship): 4 – in scientific specialist publications recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, 1 – in a foreign periodical (indexed in the Web of Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database); 1 chapter of a monograph (co-authored), 26 abstracts of reports in the materials of congresses, symposia, and scientific-practical conferences. Her general work experience is 3 years, with 3 years of teaching experience, the research experience is 6 years.
